The staff was charming, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and I can&rsquo;t recommend enough! I wish I lived in Coimbra so I could eat here regularly!

In the upper side of the city, the locations was beautiful! We had a buffet lunch that was very delicious, with a good choice of plates. The view over the city was incredible! Very nice place!!

Amazing steak, good tuna steak, burrata and ceviche were very good. The sides were not what we thought they were, the menu said rustic potatoes but they were just French fries and the grilled vegetables were more so chopped and saut&eacute;ed but everything was still very very good.

The whole experience was great: we wanted a nice meal that was an easy walk from our hotel and we found it at the Sol. The staff was polite and helpful and served everything at a relaxing pace. The only reason that the food score isn&rsquo;t higher is that we ordered an assortment of three fried cod appetizers and they were not hot when we received them. We&rsquo;re not sure if they are served cool intentionally or not but they were actually still good. Our entrees were great pork dishes but probably too similar to each other - but that was certainly our fault in ordering. Still, they were both delicious. The place is huge, so sit anywhere you want, inside or outside, upstairs or downstairs.

The food was exceptional: the chef clearly prides himself on his work and it comes through in the preparation and presentation. We wanted an outside table but our only minor complaint is that the street was not flat and the chairs were awkwardly positioned (the table was fine). The dining room looked charming but a little tight. The servers were patient with our questions and explained everything clearly to us, then the exact same explanation to a table on either side of us. Overall, this place was well worth a visit.

Great food and service, cozy atmosphere. Good wine and dessert options. Enjoyed the steak and croquettes especially.

A lovely meal. Accommodated on very short notice after a last minute change of plans. Beautifully presented and tasting food and wine. Waiter (who spoke multiple languages) was very knowledgeable and accommodating of my partners gluten allergy - explaining what she could and couldn&#39;t have.Small and intimate taverna environment. Would highly recommend!

Excellently and creatively prepared food within the Portuguese tradition, and excellent ingredients. This may be an up and coming restaurant.
